While Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s iPhone app has been making the news this week due to its appearance in Apple’s top 10-grossing application list, the Jersey Shore star may soon be facing a lawsuit over a game included in the app.
The app features a game called “Grenade Dodger,” in which users attempt to dodge unattractive women, or “grenades” in Jersey Shore-speak. The problem, according to Radar Online, is that photographers were dispatched by the game’s developer to clubs in order to snatch pictures of women in the “3 or 4” category for inclusion in the Situation’s application. One of the girls featured in “Grenade Dodger” is reportedly horrified over her insertion in the game and is considering taking legal action.

Alice: Madness Returns won’t be going “over the top” with gore and blood “for the sake of getting an M rating”, creator American McGee’s told Eurogamer.
He told the site he would instead be going for “adult” and “mature” topics.
“No, no no no. This is definitely an M-rated title,” he said.
“The first Alice, we never set out to get an M-rating. It was more about trying to be true to the fiction that we created from the well known books.”
He later added: “But, that being said, we’re not trying to go over the top and use blood and gore and violence just for the sake of getting an M rating. This will be an M title, but it’s going to be in the sense of mature, adult content, not over the top violent, horror content.”
The original Alice, was published ten years ago by EA, who are back on publishing duties for Madness Returns, which was unveiled during EA’s publisher showcase back in July.
The game’s out in 2011 for PS3, 360 and PC.

“No wonder these games are falling into the hands of our children, and no wonder so many parents feel everyday like they are fighting this battle with their hands tied behind their backs. We need to do better. We need to do everything we can to make sure that parents have a line of defense against graphic videogames and other content that go against the values they are trying to instill in their children.” So said Hilary Clinton, then senator of New York State, in an impassioned speech wherein she decried the Electronic Software Ratings Board (ESRB) as incompetent, and declared that she would author a bill to make the sale of Mature-rated videogames to minors a federal crime. The speech was made on July 14, 2005, just two weeks after the “Hot Coffee” mod for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas started blazing its way across the internet, making headlines as it went.
Of course, the term “mod” is somewhat misleading, as “Hot Coffee” didn’t add new content to Rockstar Games’ sandbox hit. Dutch hacker Patrick Wildenborg’s patch for the PC version of the game altered just the tiniest bit of code, making accessible a whole new minigame built into San Andreas by Rockstar North. For those who don’t remember, here’s what unlocking “Hot Cofee” gave you access to: Player character CJ Johnson can date a variety of a women in San Andreas’ fictional Californian cities. In the retail version of the game, these dates end with CJ dropping off his lady friend at her house. Depending on how close you are with that girlfriend, she may invite CJ in for coffee. The camera shifts to the exterior of the house while CJ and his girlfriend get audibly amorous.

Fallout: New Vegas features robot sex.
We know you prefer a little bit of easing into the main thesis of our news articles, but there’s just no way we could contain our excitement for this delightful development. The ESRB rating for Obsidian’s desert-crawling action-RPG explains, “there is also an extended sequence suggesting (no depiction) sexual activity with a robot.” Said erotic automaton will drop bon mots such as “Fisto reporting for duty . . . Please assume the position,” and “I suppose I should test you out . . . Servos active!”
On the off chance you think we imagined this bold, innovative feature in some sort of fever dream, you can read the full ESRB description. Or, for a vaguely NSFW look at how this adult subject might be implemented in the game, we suggest turning your attention to The Whitest Kids U’ Know.

In what, unfortunately, seems to be an increasingly common occurrence, a 22-year old Florida man stands accused of using Xbox Live to manipulate a 10-year old boy into sending naked pictures of himself through the online videogame service.
Timothy Hammerstone of Polk City, Florida allegedly requested and received nude pictures from the boy and, in return, offered Xbox Live credits to his young victim, according to a story on CBS13.com. Hammerstone even went so far as to set up a new profile for his prey so that the boy’s parents wouldn’t notice anything when monitoring his activities.
Folsom Police Officer Jason Browning added, “Many parents try to protect their kids when they’re online so it may be a shock just how much access gaming systems provide.”
Police warned parents to set up computers or game consoles in non-private areas of the home. Parental controls could also freeze online access from consoles. Ten years old is probably a little young to be online unmonitored, no?
